I LOVE BROCCOLI !!! I eat this recipe just about every two days. Broccoli is part of the cruciferous veggies group meaning that it is a good source in fiber and vitamins (calcium iron, magnesium, potassium). It is a good food to eat for colon health as it gives you plenty of ruffage in your digestive system. The trick to cooking broccoli is to retain its green colorful. If it turns grayish, green then you've over-cooked it.
Ingredients:
Frozen or fresh broccoli florets
Several pats of organic almond butter
1/2 garlic cloves (sliced)
Extra virgin olive oil
Seasonings:Several pats of organic almond butter
1/2 garlic cloves (sliced)
Extra virgin olive oil
Salt or chicken bullion powder (if you like salt)
Pepper
Parsley
1) Rinse broccoli in cool water. (* For this recipe, I used a large head of broccoli.)
3) In an aluminum foil pan, spread out some aluminum foil. Coat it generously with 1/4 water.
4) Place broccoli in an aluminum foil pan. Sprinkle butter and sliced garlic over the broccoli.
5) Place into the oven covered for 30 minutes.
*Serve broccoli on a pretty platter and you are DONE! I love having this broccoli with chicken or with my Grilled Garlic Shrimp.
