Effects of My Weight Gain

In this post, I want to talk candidly about the effects of my own weight gain.  I've effectively gained about 20 pounds per year but the funny thing is that I've gain it all over. This made it had to tell as I rarely get on the scale to weigh myself. I'm just not a scale sort of girl.

As for my own struggle, I am currently about 60 pounds over a "good" weight.  Not that the numbers REALLY matter...I just remember the number on the scale that made me feel great.  Of course, I had the normal stresses of job and family to deal with but my body and I worked together back then.

Now with the extra weight gain, I noticed the discomforting "little" things that have made my daily schedule a bit harder and definitely more tiring.

I've made a list of the "little" things that I've begun to notice over time.

  1. lethargy and sluggishness
  2. high energy spurts
  3. lack of flexibility and limberness
  4. mood swings
  5. hair loss
  6. dry skin
  7. stomach bloating
  8. breast bloating
  9. increased PMS
  10. depression
  11. weird pockets of fat around my body particularly around my bikini line, behind my elbows, fingers, chin, inside ankle, knees, backs of knees, upper calves, ear lobes and big toes.
